The Buckles Family

I finally have some pictures taken at the Heartsongs Luncheon.  It was truly an honor to have the opportunity to speak at it.  We saw some of our dearest friends and we met some amazing people, one of whom was Jeni Stepanek and her dog, Micah.  Jeni is the mother to an incredible young man named Mattie, whose philosophy of life and death has touched us deeply.  Sadly, Mattie passed away just days after Jade and Erin were separated, right down the hall from them at Children's National Medical Center.  We would have loved to meet him, and his mom said he would have adored the girls.  Mattie left a wonderful legacy of peace to be shared with generations to come.  He has written many books in his very short "almost 14 years" that will rock you to the core.  You can learn more about Mattie at www.mattieonline.com
